Kettel Atelier is a womenswear label founded by Laura Tønder, a Danish designer based in Madrid, Spain, in 2023. Kettel Atelier features one-of-a-kind garments made from vintage home textiles and deadstock fabrics. Laura combines her Danish heritage with her love for Spain, stating, “I just fell in love with the ease and the way the women dress—the half-nakedness, the Bohemian vibes; it was something that completely blew me away.” There’s a surprising body consciousness to Kettel’s designs, such as a halter top where a grandmother’s hand-embroidered flowers on a napkin suggestively frame the nipples.
