Y/PROJECT
Paris-based Y/Project, initially founded by Gilles Elalouf and the late French designer Yohan Serfaty in 2010, has emerged as a contemporary ready-to-wear favorite known for its inventive detailing and construction techniques. With Belgian designer Glenn Martens taking the helm as creative director in 2013, the label has carved a distinct aesthetic that straddles the line between the weird and the wonderful, drawing inspiration from '90s-era Jean Paul Gaultier designs and reimagining them in experimental, deconstructed silhouettes. Y/Project's unisex garments offer a playful yet chic expression, blending avant-garde silhouettes with street-inspired designs and historical references.
